A letter of appeal from the great Torah scholar, Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky zt"l, from Isru Chag of Passover 1928, to Rabbi Tzadok Tal (who passed away in 1955), then the chief rabbi of the Utrecht community in the Netherlands and later the chief rabbi of all the Netherlands, in which Rabbi Chaim Ozer pleads for the help of the Dutch Jewish communities for the Torah scholars.

From time immemorial, they have been supported by the contributions of our brethren from distant lands… I hope that in his righteousness, he will hasten to support this great and holy cause, which concerns the very survival of Torah, and stir the hearts… and they will all be blessed with the blessing reserved for those who support Torah…"
